Anel
Owner: CrossFit NarroWay
CrossFit Coach: L2
Anel is the proud owner of two successful Nacogdoches businesses, CrossFit NarroWay, and Anel’s Hair Salon.
Always up for a challenge, Anel joined the CrossFit community because she loves finding opportunities to improve her health and wellness. She credits part of her motivation for staying healthy and building strength to her grandchildren, as she looks forward to being an active participant in their lives. Forever inspiring to everyone she meets, Anel shares her passion for fitness by challenging her sons and daughter to beat (or even match) her progress. They’re still trying.
Anel became a CrossFit coach because she loves to help people feel better about themselves. Her greatest coaching inspiration is being there to see the look in people’s eyes when they realize that they were able to achieve something they believed they couldn’t.
Coming to CrossFit NarroWay each day is like coming home to Anel. Everyone is welcoming and ready to motivate each other. “These are my people, my family.” Anel attributes the continued legacy of NarroWay to the support of her amazing husband, Kelly.
Anel's wisdom for new CrossFit members: "You will get stronger. It will take time, so don’t get discouraged. Find your people wherever you are. Find a strong community where you build each other up, because we are stronger and will go further together. "

Haylee
CrossFit Coach: L1
Haylee is passionate, determined, and caring. She chose to become a coach because she has seen the amazing impact that CrossFit and this community can have and wanted to be a part of that journey. She loves seeing members lift more than they thought was possible, run farther than they could the week before, and build strong friendships with people who hold them accountable to their goals. For Haylee, CrossFit has taught her the benefits of doing hard things, and she wants to show others that they are capable of doing the same.
To Haylee, CrossFit NarroWay has a community like no other. She looks forward to walking in every day to catch up and work out alongside everyone. It is important to her to be surrounded by those who show the love of Christ and push each other to be better on both the good days and the bad, and she is grateful that NarroWay does exactly that.
Haylee’s motivation for staying active is rooted in her desire to be the healthiest version of herself for those she cares about. She finds that when she is healthy, she has more energy throughout the day, more meaningful conversations, and a healthier mindset overall.
Haylee’s wisdom for new CrossFit members: “Show up on the hard days and the days that you want to do anything but work out, and you will be so glad that you did. These are the days we need it most!”

Torree
CrossFit Coach: L2
Torre is a nurturing, loyal, and self-proclaimed "snacky" coach who wants to help people get better without feeling like they have to have it all together beforehand. She loves walking alongside members as they improve their health and fitness,
right as she continues to do the same.
What Torre loves most about CrossFit NarroWay is the family atmosphere. She values a gym where no one acts like they have it all together, and where everyone can suffer together in fitness while living life together.
Her drive to stay active and healthy comes down to family—for her "cutie" husband, and for her general health so she can watch her kids grow up.
Torre brings a robust educational background to her coaching, holding a Bachelor’s in Human Performance and Athletic Training with a minor in Nutrition, a Master’s in Human Performance and Behavioral Medicine, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership in Special Education with an emphasis in Autism.
Torre’s wisdom for new CrossFit members: "We all suck at this thing called CrossFit. But we get better every day. Come be a part of our family!"

Nathan
CrossFit Coach: L1
Nathan finds great value in the mental and physical health benefits of exercise. Diagnosed with hypertension at a young age, he found higher-intensity workouts to be a great alternative to the sluggish side effects that often accompany prescription medication.
Understanding that most people want to be healthier, Nathan is passionate about helping people feel comfortable in the gym environment. He loves that coaching allows him to guide people through discomfort and towards a healthier lifestyle.
Taking great pride in the high standard of excellence that the certified coaching staff maintains is one of the things that Nathan loves most about CrossFit NarroWay, and he appreciates how this professionalism sets the tone and environment of the individual classes.
Nathan’s wisdom for new CrossFit members: “CrossFit is not flipping tires and throwing sledge hammers. The workouts are designed so that anyone can do them and offer many scaling options. Whether you are in the best or worst shape of your life, you can come to CrossFit and get a great workout tailored to your fitness level.”

Kenneth
CrossFit Coach: L2
Kenneth is a husband, father, and former college baseball player who found CrossFit while looking for a new way to stay active. When the workouts built more strength in him than his collegiate playing days ever did, he stepped into coaching to help others achieve that same breakthrough.
Having trained in gyms where egos, groups, and competition took over, Kenneth loves the grounded, family atmosphere at CrossFit NarroWay. He values a community where members bring a friendly competitive spirit, support each other's goals, and occasionally help parent each other's kids on the gym floor.
For Kenneth, staying active is all about the long game. He wants to keep moving well into the future—whether that means going on adventures with his wife, playing with his kids as they grow, or keeping up with future grandkids.
He brings a deep background in human movement and sports medicine to his coaching, holding a B.S. in Kinesiology Exercise Science, an M.S. in Athletic Training, and wrapping up his Ph.D. in Health Professions.
Kenneth’s wisdom for new CrossFit members: "There is no trophy for RX’ing every workout. Listen to your body. Scale as necessary. Be happy you moved. And know you did more work than 90% of the people you see every day outside of the gym."

Victoria
CrossFit Coach: L1
Victoria is a dedicated, outgoing mom who became a coach because she loves working out and being part of other people's success stories. Outside of her full-time job, coaching gives her the opportunity to lead by example and show her kids that staying strong as we get older is something to celebrate.
For Victoria, CrossFit NarroWay is family. Walking into a gym where everyone knows each other and cheers each other on keeps her accountable—and brings built-in lifelong friends.
Her kids are her primary motivation for staying active and healthy, showing them every day that simply showing up matters.
Victoria’s wisdom for new CrossFit members: "CrossFit is your journey. Don't try to keep up with everyone. Write your own story to your future in fitness."
